Maumee UMC Student Ministries exists to embrace teens in a welcoming space where they can explore faith and learn the Bible, connect with peers, mentors, and families, and share God’s love through service and leadership in the church and community. We guide students in making personal faith decisions, developing their talents, and growing in leadership, teamwork, and public speaking, while supporting families with resources and opportunities to serve together.

Safe Sanctuaries at Maumee UMC means we pledge to engage in ministry in ways that assure the safety and spiritual growth of all of our children, youth, and vulnerable adults, as well as the servants who engage with these individuals. We follow safety measures in the selection and recruitment of servants. We implement operational procedures in all programs and events that provide safety and security. We train all of our servants annually and run national background checks every 3 years. We also have defined procedures for reporting suspected or witnessed incidents of abuse that conform to Ohio state law. We take the safety and security of our children, youth, and vulnerable adults very seriously and take measures to provide a reasonable level of protection for these populations.
